AFCU Bridge Newsletter

 

 

      The AFCU publishes "The Bridge"  newsletter three times a year.  This newsletter updates its readers on AFCU activities and contains articles of interest about the American Church in Paris, the American Church in Berlin, and the Vienna Community Church. 

 

     Below are the issues of the AFCUBridge covering the last 7 years which you may download.

2010

         Summer 2010

                            You will find many interesting articles in this issue.  In addition to reports from the churches in Paris

                                 Berlin, and Vienna, there is an inspirational message from the AFCU President, a report on the AFCU

                                 annual meeting held in April in Tucson, an article introducing 5 new AFCU Board members and several

                                 other articles of interest.

         Spring 2010

                           Highlights of this issue include an inspiring message from the AFCU President and several Lenten

                               messages from the ministers at the American Church in Paris, the American Church in Berlin and

                               the Vienna Community Church.                              

2009

 

        Autumn 2009

                                Many interesting articles about the AFCU, the American in Berlin, the American Church in Paris and

                                the Vienna Community Church are in this issue.  Only a small portion will be highlighted here. 

                                News of the AFCU Development meeting held in Dallas in October are written about on pages 1 & 2

                                of the AFCUBridge.  The ACB hosted the European-wide youth conference for over 120 youth.  This is

                                talked about on pages 5 & 7.  In August, Jesse Jackson visited and preached at the ACP.  Learn about

                                this starting on page 10.

       

          Summer 2009

                               This issue contains many articles about the AFCU Annual meeting held in Vienna in April.  The             

                               first article is a message from the AFCU President, Gregg Foster.  Other important articles include

                               in a report from the American Church in Berlin about their fall strategy and street fair and a message

                               from the American Church in Paris which includes interesting historical information about Protestant

                               Christianity in Paris

 

          Winter, 2009

                               Among the articles in this issue of the AFCU Bridge is Gregg Foster's report on the revision and

                               updating of the AFCU Constitution.  The efforts of the AFCU Bridge to go green are reviewed.

                               Reflections on Lent by the ministers of the ACP and VCC are presented.  A mission of love providing

                               meals for the homeless, a joint effort of several churches in Paris, is discussed.  The service of

                               Thanksgiving for the life of Marvin Steinmetz at the ACP is reviewed.  Also, details of the

                               schedules for the annual meetings in Vienna are provided.
