AFCU Bridge Newsletter
The AFCU publishes "The Bridge" newsletter three times a year. This newsletter updates its readers on AFCU activities and contains articles of interest about the American Church in Paris, the American Church in Berlin, and the Vienna Community Church.

2009
Many interesting articles about the AFCU, the American in Berlin, the American Church in Paris and the Vienna Community Church are in this issue. Only a small portion will be highlighted here. News of the AFCU Development meeting held in Dallas in October are written about on pages 1 & 2 of the AFCUBridge. The ACB hosted the European-wide youth conference for over 120 youth. This is talked about on pages 5 & 7. In August, Jesse Jackson visited and preached at the ACP. Learn about this starting on page 10.
This issue contains many articles about the AFCU Annual meeting held in Vienna in April. The first article is a message from the AFCU President, Gregg Foster. Other important articles include in a report from the American Church in Berlin about their fall strategy and street fair and a message from the American Church in Paris which includes interesting historical information about Protestant Christianity in Paris
Among the articles in this issue of the AFCU Bridge is Gregg Foster's report on the revision and updating of the AFCU Constitution. The efforts of the AFCU Bridge to go green are reviewed. Reflections on Lent by the ministers of the ACP and VCC are presented. A mission of love providing meals for the homeless, a joint effort of several churches in Paris, is discussed. The service of Thanksgiving for the life of Marvin Steinmetz at the ACP is reviewed. Also, details of the schedules for the annual meetings in Vienna are provided. 2008 Many interesting articles are in this issue of the AFCU Bridge. A progress report on the ACP's Faith into Action campaign is the lead article. The results of the Development meeting held on October 18, 2008 in Atlanta are discussed on page 2. An article on the Every Changing International Congregations written by Art Bauer, the past Director of the Network for International Congregations within the NCC, is presented on page 4. Updates on the activities of the ACB appear on page 5 while updates on the VCC start on page 6. Scott Herr's installation service at the ACP on September 21, 2008 is reviewed on page 10. In addition to these articles, you will find many other items of interest.
There is much information in this newsletter. Several articles tell about the annual meetings held in Austin, Texas in April. The new senior Pastor at the American Church in Paris is introduced and many of the activities in Berlin to Build Bridges among people are discussed. Many other articles talk about activities at the Vienna Community Church and the American Church Paris. Highlights include an ACP report by interim senior pastor, Alex Aronis; an ACB report by pastor Ben Colvet and a VCC report by pastor Randall Mundt. 2007 2006
